Netball Namibia (NN) on Saturday elected its new board members during its annual general meeting (AGM) held at the Namibia Sport Commission in the capital.

The selected members will serve the federation on a voluntary basis for the next four years.

NN is the mother body that runs netball in the country at a regional and national level.

At its elective congress, former Vice President for Marketing, Sponsorship, Public Relations and Competitions Rebekka Goagoses was elected as the new NN Presiden, replacing Lydia Mutenda, who has already served two terms as president and could not stand.

Goagoses, who also serves on the Netball Africa board as a Vice President for Development, is the only member of the previous board who retained her position.

The new board members are; Seu P Gowaseb (Technical Director), Connie Samaria (Vice President of Strategy and Policy), Marvellous Khaebes-Orchar (Vice President Development), Rauna Haulu (Regional and Association Member Representative), and Juanitha Witbeen (additional member).

Previous board members who could not stand because they have already served two terms for NN are Isadore Nel (Vice President for Development), Turky Ndashiiva (treasurer), Imelda Nerongo (Secretary General) and Wency Katjatako (Technical Director).
