The police in the Kunene Region have not made any arrests yet in the alleged housebreaking case of the Swapo Party regional office at Khorixas.

Namibian Police Force spokesperson for Kunene, Inspector Vehangaiza Ruiter told Nampa on Friday that the police are still searching for the suspects in the case where items valued at N.dollars 20 000 were reportedly stolen from the office.

The suspect(s) managed to get away with one laptop, one desktop computer, an unspecified number of CDs, and also documents, after gaining entry through a window of the office.

“It is alleged that the office was broken into in the morning hours of Wednesday and a case was opened after all items missing from the office were recorded accordingly. The police would like to appeal to any person with information in the matter to come forth that can lead to the arrest of the suspects,” said Ruiter.

A case of housebreaking with intent to steal was since opened by the regional Swapo coordinator.
