The Office of the Prime Minister on Tuesday issued a warning on a scam involving bogus phone calls during which fraudsters seek financial assistance in the name of Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila.

The office of the Prime Minister in a media statement said the scammers call high ranking officials, both in the private and the public sector, pretending to be the prime minister and seeking financial assistance.

“The Office of the Prime Minister would like to warn the public of this scam and to avoid falling prey to it. The public is urged not to give either cash or any other form of support to them,” said the statement.
