Oshana Regional Council on Friday held its first-ever business forum

The Oshana Regional Council on Friday held its first-ever business forum where a concept paper was drafted to pave the way for business undertakings and development between local entrepreneurs and their Angolan counterparts in Cunene Province.

The business forum aimed at soliciting the inputs from the regional business community on the potential investment areas in the Oshana Region.

The forum followed a recent visit by Oshana Governor Elia Irimari's business delegation to the Cunene Province in southern Angola to strengthen bilateral relations and business cooperation between the two regions.

An Oshana Region-Cunene Province business forum, where detailed articulation of socio-economic interests were discussed by the two regional authorities, was also held during Irimari's visit to the Cunene Province.

Speaking during Friday's business forum at Oshakati, Irimari said their visit to Angola opened up and discovered that there is a need in Africa to move away from the perception of aid-seeking to global-partner trade promotion.
