P-Square Heads to Namibia

P-SQUARE are heading to Namibia. This will be the very first time the ‘Personally’ singers will be in the country.

“Namibians have been craving for the past two years and we know a lot of local promoters have been trying to bring P-Square to Namibia. They have been to almost all African countries but Namibia,” said Sula Kyababa of Ogopa Butterfly.

According to the organisers, the duo are scheduled to land in Namibia the day before their show, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 27 September.

Tickets will be available at all Computicket outlets from 1 September at N$150 for standard tickets and N$250 for VIPs. The show will take place at the Hage Geingob stadium in Windhoek and no tickets will be sold at the gate.

Kyababa said that they wanted to make the tickets affordable enough for any and every person to be able to attend the show. He added that the line-up of local acts performing alongside P-Square will be announced shortly.

P-Square’s first album, ‘Game Over’, released in 2007, sold eight million copies worldwide. They have since won various awards, including two MTV Africa Music awards, a Kora award, five Channel O Music awards and have even been nominated for a BET Award.

They signed a record deal with Akon’s Konvict Muzik label and in May 2012, they signed a record distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa.
