PDM leadership undergo training in service delivery at Otjiwarongo

The political leadership of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) are gathered at Otjiwarongo to undergo training in quality and effective service delivery to the nation.

 

Party secretary-general, Manuel Ngaringombe in his remarks at the event said the training is specifically aimed to capacitate the 30 participants comprising regional and local authority councillors to deliver quality, timely and effective service to the people who elected them to power.

 

The councillors are serving the party in the Katutura Central Constituency, City of Windhoek, Tsumeb, Walvis Bay, Gobabis, Outjo and Otjiwarongo municipalities.

 

Other party councillors present at the workshop are from the local authority councils of Aranos, Aroab, Opuwo, Usakos, Henties Bay, Bukalo, Berseba, Bethanie, Okakarara, Kamanjab, Katima Mulilo and Witvlei.

 

“Let us make use of the training to acquire all the necessary skills and knowledge so that upon our return we can deliver services based on the promises we made to the people who voted us into power,” said Ngaringombe.

 

Chairperson of PDM, Diederik Vries and party chief whip in the National Assembly Vipuakuje Muharukua are also attending the workshop.

 

Three facilitators from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung are facilitating the training to the politicians in topics of water and sanitation, community empowerment, unemployment among young people, challenges faced by women and also on the Constitution of the country.

 

The workshop ends on Friday.
