Mariental: The third edition of the Mariental Trade Festival, set for 23-25 October 2025, will aim to unite local businesses, artists, and community members to celebrate the town’s creativity, entrepreneurship, and to boost its economy.

According to Namibia Press Agency, festival chairperson Unomasa Kavita stated that the event continues to provide a platform where entrepreneurs and creatives can collaborate, learn, and market their products to a wider audience. Kavita emphasized that this year’s edition focuses on empowering small and medium enterprises while celebrating the cultural identity that defines Mariental and the Hardap Region.

The Mariental Trade Festival is held annually and is sponsored by the Mariental Municipality and First National Bank (FNB) Namibia. Kavita noted that the event serves as a catalyst for economic integration aimed at encouraging trade, enhancing the availability of goods and services, bolstering consumer purchasing power, and stimulating market and business expansions within the town’s localities.

According to Kavita, over 60 exhibitors will be present throughout the three-day festival, which also includes music performances by the town’s local artist ‘Lollipop’, alongside others such as DJ Lado and DJ Munchies, as well as dance performances by Dance Group of Expo and Dynamic Skeem Dancing Club. One of the expected highlights are performances by Namibian popular artists like One Blood, Shax Champion, Musketeers DJs, and Jaliza. There will also be a merry-go-round and a fireworks display.

Kavita mentioned that the organizing committee is currently conducting ground promotions across Mariental to build excitement and raise awareness ahead of the event. He further expressed that the Mariental Trade Festival has become one of the biggest annual events of the southern town, and they hope to grow it further.
