Accra: Today marks the start of the Prime Minister’s ambitious five-nation tour, spanning Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, from July 2 to 9, 2025. The visit aims to fortify relations and explore new avenues of cooperation with these countries.
According to African Press Organization, the Prime Minister will begin the tour in Ghana at the invitation of President John Dramani Mahama. The visit to Ghana, scheduled for July 2-3, will focus on deepening historical ties and exploring cooperation in investment, energy, health, and security, among other areas. The Prime Minister is also set to address the Parliament of Ghana, highlighting the shared democratic values between the two nations.
On July 3-4, the Prime Minister will visit Trinidad and Tobago, a nation with which there is a significant historical and cultural connection. Meetings with President Christine Carla Kangaloo and Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar are planned, aimed at strengthening the ancestral and kinship bonds that have united the two countries for 180 years.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that these visits will reinforce friendships across the Global South, strengthen partnerships across the Atlantic, and deepen engagements in multilateral platforms such as BRICS, the African Union, ECOWAS, and CARICOM.
