Public urged to take note of changes during HKIA expansion

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) is urging the public to take note of the changes caused by the upgrade works at the Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA) congestion alleviation project.

In a press statement availed to Nampa on Tuesday, Dan Kamati, who is the Marketing officer of NAC, said the drop-off lane at HKIA is temporarily closed and all motorists are advised to use the temporary public parking as an alternative drop-off area.

According to Kamati, the first five minutes will be free, after which the normal rates will before motorists exit the public parking.

Motorists are urged to cautiously drive into airport and to follow the directional signs or notices to minimize delays due to closed routes, he said.

He further urged the flying public to come earlier to the airport to avoid any inconvenience.
