Pupkewitz Toyota Revamps Structure

THE Pupkewitz Toyota Oshakati branch has invested N$10,8 million to revamp its structure and introduce a new retail concept.

The new concept focuses on improving customers’ experience by making the whole process more efficient, effective and pleasant as per Toyota Corporation’s worldwide standards.

The Oshakati branch was opened in 2000 as a joint venture between the Namibia Development Corporation (NDC) and Pupkewitz Motors. The NDC has 40% shares.

The northern branch went from selling an average of nine vehicles per month in 2000 to the current average of 40 units, while the business is also said to have grown to include workshop and parts facilities.

Over 2 760 new vehicles have been sold and more than 11 400 others have been serviced at the northern branch, while more than N$30 million worth of Toyota parts have been sold. The dealership has 16 service bays that can service more than 50 vehicles per day.

Pupkewitz Motors North, which consists of Pupkewitz Toyota, Oshakati and Pupkewitz Toyota Rundu have shown excellent results over the years.

The chairman of the Pupkewitz Motors North, Junior Bruwer, said the renovation process was a prime example of a smart private-public partnership and it clearly demonstrates how the private sector and the government can work together to create jobs and wealth for all Namibians.
