The Roads Authority (RA) on Wednesday announced that the Rosh Pinah-Aussenkehr road has been closed until further notice due to flooding.

The authority in a media statement said the Rosh Pinah-Aussenkehr road is experiencing flooding caused by the high-water levels in the Orange River due to heavy rain in some parts of South Africa.

Motorists were urged to use the Keetmanshoop-Aus-Rosh Pinah road until the water levels have subsided and the road is deemed safe for motorists.

“RA will continue to monitor the situation and will give feedback on all the relevant media platforms. Furthermore, members of the public are also requested to report any potholes and road damage at their nearest RA office,” said the statement.
