Registered nurse Hertha Sikwaya told Nampa on Saturday 10 boys and nine girls were born at the hospital on 01 January.

Two of the babies – one boy and one girl – were delivered via caesarean section, while the rest were natural deliveries.

His mother, 26-year-old Johanna Ndara, said she was happy to have delivered her baby safely and excited that he was the first baby to be born at the hospital in 2021.
