Shalulile, Hotto bag PSL nominations

Namibia international striker and captain Peter Shalulile and Deon Hotto have bagged nominations for top prizes in the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League (PSL) Awards.

The announcement made on Wednesday by the PSL saw Shalulile being nominated for three accolades following his impressive display in his first season with Mamelodi Sundowns, having joined from Highlands Park.

The Brave Warriors player is nominated for PSL Footballer of the Season, Player’s Player of the Season, and Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament awards.

The prize monies for these awards are yet to be confirmed.

He is also in the running for the PSL Golden Boot accolade which he won in the 2019/20 campaign.

His fellow Namibian international, Hotto is nominated for the MTN-8 campaign in the category for the Last Man Standing award.

Shalulile and Hotto are also nominated for the influential South African Magazine Kick-Off Awards for Player of the Season where they are battling it out with Themba Zwane, Ruzaigh Gamildien, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Bradley Grobler, Fortune Makaringe, and Augustine Mulenga.

The awards ceremony will take place on 06 June.
