Sixty-year-old woman arrested for mandrax and cannabis possession at Walvis Bay

A 60 year-old woman was on Wednesday arrested after she was found in possession of several pieces of mandrax pills and cannabis.

According to a crime report issued by Namibian Police Force's Erongo Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu on Friday, the suspect was discovered with one full and three halves of suspected mandrax tablets and five grams of cannabis valued N. dollars 300.

Iikuyu said the suspect was arrested at a residential area in Walvis Bay.

In an unrelated event, a 25 years old Namibian male was arrested in Walvis Bay's Kuisebmund residential area, after he was discovered dealing with suspected crack cocaine cannabis.

It is alleged that the suspect was found with about 88 units of crack cocaine and three balls of cannabis valued at N. dollars 8 950 during Police action on Wednesday.

In another drug related matter, two men were also arrested at the DRC residential area in Swakopmund on Thursday.

The suspects, aged 26 and 33 were reportedly found with 17 balls, 15 (bank coin) bags of cannabis, three full tablets, two halves o and 10 quarters of mandrax tablets.

According to Iikuyu, the total value of the drugs has still not been determined.
