Stolen livestock returned from Zambia

About nine livestock were found and repatriated from Zambia via Wenela border post on Monday after they were stolen from the areas of Musanga, Sanchinga and Kaenda in Namibia.

Police Inspector Kisco Sitali said that out of the nine livestock only one had a brand mark hence making the animals vulnerable to the rustlers and that lawful owners of the livestock were warned to ensure that their animals were all branded.

He also mentioned that 'the Anti-stock-theft Sub-division will carry out inspections at the cattle posts to enforce compliance of the stock brand Act,' he said.

Three suspects are currently detained by the police in Zambia.
