The Namibian Police Force will leave no stone unturned in its new crime combating operation: Joseph Shikongo

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) will leave no stone unturned in its new crime combating operation in conjunction with the City Police, NamPolKhomas Commander, Joseph Shikongo has said.

Shikongo made the remarks yesterday while addressing members of the media on the new operation, which started on 12 July, in the capital.

The new operation will double its efforts as required by the laws that guide policing in Namibia, including the Namibian Constitution and Police Act, amongst others, he said.

He said the public should trust NamPol and City Police officers, adding that no member of the society should suffer at the hands of criminals, while cautioning station commanders not to turn down members of the public who require their assistance.

Answering the public that there is no transport (to attend to reported crimes) should stop, hewarned.He said between 08 and 14 July here, 92 cases of theft were recorded, while 37 house break-ins were reported.
