Three arrested with Mandrax back in court

The three people who were arrested here on 14 September this year and charged in dealing in drugs made their second court appearance in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court on Monday.

The accused persons, Andrew Bloedooght, 53, Katrina Bloedooght, 56, and Eben Pienaar, 30, appeared before magistrate Olivia van der Colff, who postponed their case to 09 January 2020 for further police investigations.

On 23 September 2019 all accused persons were granted bail of N.dollars 5 000 each on condition that the report themselves to the Keetmanshoop Police Station every Friday between the hours of 12h00 and 19h00.

Other condition is that they do not leave the district of Keetmanshoop without informing the investigating officer.

During the court hearing on Monday, all the accused informed the court that they have acquire legal representative and Percy McNally will represent them on private instructions.

The State was represented by Marlon Adams.

The three were arrested on 14 September at their home in the Extension 7 informal settlement during a police operation.

They were found in possession of 75 full Mandrax tablets, seven half Mandrax tablets and 24 quarter Mandrax tablets worth N.dollars 10 140.
