Arusha: Tunisia welcomed 4.3 million tourists in the first half of 2025, marking an 11 percent increase compared to the same period last year, private radio station Mosaique FM reported Tuesday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, tourism revenues in Tunisia exceeded 3 billion dinars, approximately 1 billion U.S. dollars, during the same period, an increase of over 8 percent. The sector has become a significant contributor to the inflow of foreign currency into the national economy. Director General of the Tunisian National Tourism Office, Mohamed Mehdi Haloui, described the 2025 tourism season as “very positive” so far.
Tunisia’s Tourism Ministry has projected that the country is expected to receive more than 11 million tourists by the end of the year, indicating a strong performance in the tourism sector.
