Two men were arrested on Saturday at Ntara village in the Kavango West Region for allegedly stealing two cattle at the village.

According to the Namibian Police Force weekend crime report, the suspects aged 32 and 44 years were arrested after they were caught trying to sell the cattle.

“It is alleged that the two stole the oxen from a kraal and drove it from Ntara to Mahenzere village with the intention to sell, but were arrested before they could sell the animals,” stated the report.

The cattle have a combined value of N.dollars 20 000 and were recovered.

The two suspects are expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday while investigations into the matter continue.
