Windhoek: Two people lost their lives and over a dozen were injured in a violent confrontation between rival families in a village on the Greek island of Crete. The incident, as reported by Greek broadcaster ERT, occurred on Saturday and is linked to a long-standing family feud.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the clash followed a bombing incident at an unfinished house the night before. The tragic event resulted in the deaths of a 39-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman. Two other men are currently in serious condition. The altercation involved more than 2,000 bullets being fired, as confirmed by the police authorities.

Hospitals are currently under heavy guard as medical teams treat victims from the opposing sides separately.
