Two people yesterday morning died instantly after collision of Sedan

Two people yesterday morning died instantly on the Gross Barmen-Okahandja road after the sedan they were travelling in collided head-on with a pick-up truck.

Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha told Nampa that the crash occurred at about 09h30.

Mbeha said the deceased were identified yesterday afternoon as 26-year-old Ndahangelao Wanghede, who was the driver of the sedan, and passenger Angelina Sem, 25.

At approximately 10 kilometres south of Okahandja, their sedan collided head-on with the pick-up and they died on the spot, Mbeha said.

The police officer said the 50-year-old driver of the truck survived the accident with minor injuries.
