Walvis Bay- Swakopmund road claims three lives

Three people died in a head-on collision on the B2 road between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund on Saturday.

According to the weekend crime report issued on Monday, three people including the driver of a red Volkswagen, a passenger from his vehicle, and one occupant of a black seven-seater died after the two vehicles collided at the Dolphin Beach turn-off.

It is alleged that the Volkswagen, which was driving from Swakopmund, attempted to turn into Dolphin Beach without checking for oncoming traffic and collided with the oncoming seven-seater.

The deceaseds’ particulars are not yet known and police investigations continue.

On the same day, 39-year-old Graham Theodore was allegedly stabbed to death by a family member behind Havana Private School in Windhoek after an argument broke out between the two.

In a separate incident, 16-year-old Leena Kayavila allegedly died on Sunday at Ondobe village when she was run over.

According to the police she was hit by a vehicle that swerved because one of its rear tyres had come off.

The next of kin in both incidents have been informed and police investigations continue.
