Why South Africa will not fail

About two weeks ago, I attended a public lecture on South Africa’s Foreign Policy at the Wits Business School at the University of the Witwatersrand. The panellist included the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Obed Bapela, who is also the chair of the African National Congress Sub-Committee on International Relations, Ebrahim Ebrahim, the Deputy Minister and Frederick Ahwireng-Obeng, Professor of Business Administration at the Wits Business School. In addition to the panel, the audience also included several ministers, key ruling party national executive committee members, and the unruly Youth League came to listen to their colleagues in the executive and fellow comrades in the ruling party.
