Women dominate IUM graduation

Women represented 72 per cent of those who graduated from the International University of Management yesterday.

Out of the 2 111 graduates, 1 514 were women and 597, men.

While noting the multiple achievements this year's graduation signifies, the IUM governing council chairperson Dr David Namwandi said in 1994 when the private university started, it had just one student.

At the same occasion, Ohlthaver and List Group Executive Chairperson Sven Thieme received IUM's highest academic accolade, an honorary doctorate of business in commerce and entrepreneurship.

Also, the university graduated its first group of Master's in International Relations, Diplomacy and Management students, which is also a first for Namibia.
