Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday sent a message of condolence to Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua over the death of Thailand’s Queen Mother Sirikit. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi extended deep condolences and sincere sympathies to the Thai royal family, government, and people.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Xi remarked that Queen Mother Sirikit held high prestige within the Thai royal family and among the people. Her dedication to fostering China-Thailand relations was highlighted by her visit to China on behalf of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, during which she made significant contributions to strengthening the unique bond described as “China and Thailand are one family.”
Xi emphasized that Queen Mother Sirikit’s legacy and contributions to the friendship between the two nations would always be remembered.
