Yemen’s Houthis Claim Responsibility for Drone Attacks on Israel

Zhengzhou: Yemen’s Houthi group announced that it launched four drones at Israel within the past 24 hours, specifically targeting Ramon Airport and a military site in the Negev region.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Yahya Sarea, the military spokesman for the Houthis, stated that three of the drones were aimed at Ramon Airport in Eilat, while the fourth targeted a military location in the Negev area. Both targets are situated in southern Israel.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported on X that an “aircraft” had infiltrated southern Israel, prompting the activation of air defense sirens. Later that evening, the IDF confirmed another drone incursion, noting that a military helicopter was dispatched to pursue it.

Israeli media, referencing IDF statements, reported that all the drones were successfully intercepted without resulting in any casualties or damage.

ce the conflict in Gaza began in October 2023. They assert that their actions are in support of the Palestinians.
