Civics are the MTC NFA Cup Aweh champions

Civics edged Mighty Gunners 3-2 to win the thrilling MTC NFA Cup Aweh Final contested at the buzzing Vineta Sports stadium in Swakopmund on Saturday afternoon.

The two sides met in the final and it was a game to be won and lost on margins as both sides gave little away in the N$500 000 match.

Civics opened the scoring through Aubrey Amseb and Gunners equalised through Vernon Klazen before Quinton Kuruseb made it 2-1 before halftime for the Civilians.

Marcel Papama made it 3-1 for Civics after the break , middway the second half but Gunners substitute Shivolo Mutubulwa cut the deficit down to 3-2 later on.

Gunners pushed Civics against the wind but it was not to be as the latter held on to win 3-2 and take the MTC NFA Cup Aweh 2021 edition.

Gunners walks away with N$250 000 for losing in the final.

Earlier on, Blue Waters brushed aside Young African 3-1 to take third place and N$150 000 with African consoled with N$100 000.

Waters led 2-0 by halftime thanks to goals by Prins Tjiueza and Moses David. African substitute Tjimbauja Katuuo got one back in the second half while another substitute Enrico Hoebeb made it 3-1 for Waters.

Civics goalkeeper Viril Namaseb is the Goalkeeper of the MTC NFA Cup Aweh. Asser Hara-Amseb is the Top Goalscorer with seven goals while his Gunners captain Olsen Ameb is the Player of the MTC NFA Cup Aweh 2021.

Willem Haitembu and Hangula Hangula are the Referee and Assistant Referee of the MTC NFA Cup Aweh 2021 respectively.

The MTC NFA Cup Aweh 2021 has seen 114 goals in 32 games of which nine came in the last two games at Vineta Stadium.
