The City of Windhoek (CoW) has extended Jennifer Comalie’s role as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until May this year.

A media statement issued on Wednesday by CoW Corporate Communications Manager, Harold Akwenye, said Comalie’s acting term has been extended effective from 13 February until 13 May 2022.

It said she will act in the position until a substantive CEO is appointed.

“We would like to thank Ms Comalie for the service rendered for the past three months and wish her success for the remaining term,” the statement read.

Comalie was appointed in the acting role in November 2021, replacing George Mayumbelo, who acted in the position since 2020 after former CEO Robert Kahimise resigned.
