D Naff Granted Bail Following Arrest on Fraud Charges

Windhoek: Renowned gospel artist Naftalie Amukwelele, popularly known as D-Naff, was arrested in Windhoek on multiple charges of fraud. The arrest took place on Friday, and the artist faced legal proceedings shortly thereafter.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Amukwelele was charged at the Windhoek Police Station around midday before being taken to the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court. During the court session, he was granted bail set at N.dollars 5,000. The charges against the singer include six counts, specifically three counts of forgery and three counts of uttering forged documents. Magistrate Jurina |Hochobes presided over the case.



Amukwelele, who has made a name for himself not only as a singer but also as a motivational speaker, was represented by lawyer Kadhila Amoomo during the proceedings. He is scheduled to return to court on 18 November 2025. This case continues to unfold, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
