Finnish Ambassador to Namibia, Pirkko-Liisa Koyostil?, on Wednesday bade farewell to President Hage Geingob at State House.

Ambassador Koyostil? has served Namibia as Finnish ambassador since November 2017.

“It has been a great pleasure and honour to represent Finland in Namibia. The relationship between the two states has been solid and diverse and the friendship between the two countries which is nearly 150 years old continues,’ Koyostil? said.

The Finnish diplomat said even though some of her projects were achieved during her tenure as ambassador to Namibia, the last two years were a little challenging because she had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and its effects.

She said at the moment she is not aware of what is in store for her but will find out later when she reports back to her country.

On his part, Geingob wished her well in all her future endeavours and thanked her for what she has achieved during her tenure in Namibia.
