A 36-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope on Tuesday evening at Grootfontein.
The deceased was identified as Collins Muundjua.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Spokesperson for the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha on Wednesday told Nampa in an interview that Muundjua’s close relatives were informed of his death.
“His body was found hanging from the roof of his sleeping room on Tuesday at about 19h00,” said Mbeha.
Muundjua did not leave behind a suicide note and no foul play is suspected so far in connection with his death.
An inquest docket was registered at the Grootfontein Police Station on the same day.
Police investigations continue.
