Lam dong: A reservoir constructed on a mountain gave way in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on Saturday night, resulting in the tragic loss of a young girl from a family of three, as reported by local media VnExpress on Sunday. The incident swept the family away, with only the parents surviving by clinging to tree branches until they were rescued by local residents and forces overnight. The body of their 13-year-old daughter was discovered early Sunday, approximately 600 meters from their residence.

According to Namibia Press Agency, local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the reservoir burst. The region has been experiencing heavy rains in recent days, which have increased the water levels of rivers and reservoirs. This situation has led to landslides, flooded highways, and traffic disruptions in several areas, as stated in the report.
