Beijing: Chinese state councilor Shen Yiqin urged women’s federations nationwide to fulfill their responsibilities and take concrete steps to promote high-quality development of women’s causes. Shen, who also serves as the president of the All-China Women’s Federation, spoke during a video meeting on Sunday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Shen highlighted that the recent Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, held in Beijing from Monday to Tuesday, marked a significant milestone in advancing women’s causes worldwide. Shen emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment for women’s all-round development, establishing platforms for their active participation, and safeguarding their rights and interests through improved governance.

Shen called for concrete actions to promote global women’s development and to contribute to building a community with a shared future for humanity.
