Aktobe: Twelve people were killed in a road accident in the Aktobe region of western Kazakhstan, the Kazinform news agency reported Thursday, citing the regional police department. The tragic incident occurred on the Samara-Shymkent highway near the village of Bel’kopa, involving a collision between a truck and a passenger vehicle.
According to Namibia press Agency, preliminary reports suggest that the truck veered into the oncoming lane, leading to the deadly crash. Both drivers and ten passengers in the passenger vehicle succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Additionally, five other individuals were transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Local authorities have confirmed that three of those hospitalized are in serious condition. An investigation into the incident has been launched to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the collision.
