Windhoek: Some exhibitors at the 2025 Windhoek Agricultural and Livestock Show have expressed satisfaction with the event on its final day.
According to Namibia Press Agency, founding member and coordinator of the Bulawayo Leather Cluster, Fungayi Zvinondiramba, on Saturday expressed satisfaction with the event as well as the infrastructure. He noted the positive response to their products and inquiries about collaboration with SMEs in Namibia. Zvinondiramba emphasized that the enthusiasm shown by Namibian youth in participating in manufacturing activities was particularly noteworthy.
Exhibiting for the first time, Elizabeth Kambode, founder of LizWise Investment CC, a local producer of Mahangu-based products, stated that some of her expectations were met. She plans to return next year with changes, as her Mahangu pasta received a positive reception.
In contrast, Nelson Baah Williams, founder of African clothing manufacturing company Markwill Garments from Ghana, expressed dissatisfaction, citing reduced traffic compared to last year. Williams, who has exhibited at the showgrounds for two decades, is unsure about returning next year.
Executive vice-president of the Windhoek Show Society, Harald Schmidt, expressed satisfaction with the show. He confirmed that both the organizer and host were pleased with the outcome and are considering ways to make the event more accessible to visitors in the future.
