Xi Jinping Congratulates Rodrigo Paz Pereira on Bolivian Presidential Election Victory

Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent a congratulatory message to Rodrigo Paz Pereira on his election as president of Bolivia. In his message, Xi highlighted the strong and enduring friendship between China and Bolivia, emphasizing the positive trajectory of their diplomatic relations over the past 40 years.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Xi Jinping underscored the mutual understanding and support between the two countries on issues of core interest and major concerns. He noted the fruitful cooperation achieved in various fields and the deep friendship fostered between the Chinese and Bolivian peoples. Xi also expressed China’s appreciation for Bolivia’s adherence to the one-China principle.



Xi Jinping expressed his commitment to enhancing the China-Bolivia strategic partnership under the leadership of President-elect Paz. He emphasized his readiness to work together to elevate bilateral relations to a new level, ultimately benefiting both nations. In a related gesture, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng also sent a message of congratulations to Bolivian Vice President-elect Edmand Lara.
