Xi Jinping to Attend APEC Meeting and Visit Republic of Korea

Gyeongju: Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju and undertake a state visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK) from October 30 to November 1. This announcement was made by a spokesperson from the Chinese foreign ministry on Friday.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the visit comes at the invitation of ROK President Lee Jae-myung. President Xi’s participation in the APEC meeting is expected to focus on economic cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific region. The state visit to the ROK aims to strengthen bilateral relations between China and the Republic of Korea.



The APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting provides a platform for leaders from the Asia-Pacific region to discuss economic growth, trade, and investment. President Xi’s visit highlights China’s commitment to engaging with regional partners on these issues.
