Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) Activist, Michael Amushelelo, on Monday vowed to close down the biggest Shoprite branch in Windhoek.

Speaking to the media after he was granted bail by Magistrate John Sindano in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court on Monday, Amushelelo said the Shoprite managers have until he returns to the capital city to deal with the mistreatment allegations at Walvis Bay.

“Failure to comply with our requests, we will start by closing them in order to cripple the entire Shoprite franchise in the country.

Shoprite should do what is right. Just because you stopped me from closing the Shoprite in Walvis Bay does not mean I am done. We are not asking for a lot, we just want those two managers dismissed,” Amushelelo expressed.

He was granted N.dollars 3000 bail on condition that he is not to be charged with an unlawful public gathering offence and that he should not enter the Metlife Plaza in Walvis Bay.
