Asante Kotoko have reportedly signed Nigerian winger Wisdom Fernando from Nigerian side Wisdom Fernando.A report by GHANASoccernet suggests that the Porcupines completed the signing on Sunday, August 25, 2024.The report further indicates that Fernando joined the Reds on a free transfer after his contract with Akwa United expired.The forward spent the 2023/2024 season on loan at Sporting Lagos but could not earn a permanent mover at the club after the sport spell.Fernando is said to be a replacement for Bernard Somuah who has departed Kotoko to La Liga side, Celta Vigo on loan.Wisdom Fernando spent seven seasons in the Nigerian top-flight league, scoring seven goals and providing assists in 76 appearances.He has become Kotoko's fifth foreign player signed in the just-ended Ghanaian transfer window, joining Sudanese duo Esmat Abdulhamid and AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub, Congolese defender Samba O'Neil and Guinean goalkeeper Mohamed Camara.Source: Ghana Web
