Bank Windhoek recently installed three new cash-accepting Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at its Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, and Henties Bay branches.

Bank Windhoek’s National Operations Manager, David Nell, in a media statement on Wednesday said Walvis Bay now has two cash accepting ATMs, with the first installed in 2021 at the bank’s Kuisebmond agency and the second at the Walvis Bay branch.

‘The use of the cash accepting ATM in Kuisebmond is encouraging, and our customers can now deposit cash whenever it is convenient for them, 24 hours a day,’ he said.

Nell stated that the bank has listened to its customers’ feedback by increasing self-service banking channels, amongst others through the addition of the cash accepting ATMs in Walvis Bay, Swakopmund. Bank Windhoek is also in the process of deploying cash accepting ATMs countrywide.

‘The recently issued N.dollars 10 and N.dollars 30 notes, as well as South African Rands, are not currently accepted by cash-accepting ATMs; however, the functionality to accept the N.dollars 10 and N.dollars 30 notes will be available shortly,’ he said.

Bank Windhoek amongst others currently also has cash-accepting ATMs at Oshakati, Ongwediva, the Windhoek main branch, Katutura branch, Walvis Bay, Outapi, Ongwediva, Ondangwa and Omaruru.
