Windhoek: Brand Namibia, in partnership with the Young Diplomats in Namibia Network, recently hosted the '36 Seconds: How Well Do You Know Namibia?' challenge, bringing together young people for a competition aimed at promoting national pride and identity.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the event featured 18 teams competing in a fast-paced quiz testing their knowledge of Namibia's history, culture, leadership, and geography. 'Conceived as part of Namibia's 36th Independence celebrations, the challenge was designed to reconnect young Namibians with their identity in a fun and meaningful way,' the statement said.

Brand Namibia encourages individuals, institutions, and partners to collaborate on national initiatives that contribute to positioning Namibia positively on the global stage. Brand Namibia Coordinator, Iyaloo Hamata, emphasized that nation branding is ultimately about shaping how a country sees itself and how it presents itself to the world.

'The '36 Seconds Challenge' is one of the ways we are bringing that vision to life by creating spaces where young Namibians can engage with their identity, build confidence, and take ownership of our national story,' Hamata said.

Brand Namibia noted the success of the challenge reflects growing momentum in youth-driven nation-building, with plans to expand the initiative to regions and schools across the country.
