HANOI: The 50th ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC) meeting was recently held in Brunei, bringing together leaders, regulators, and key stakeholders from across the ASEAN insurance and Islamic insurance industries, local media reported on Wednesday.According to Namibia Press Agency, the council meeting focused on the theme "Bridging Resilience and Innovation in the ASEAN Insurance Landscape" and included a series of meetings and discussions addressing critical aspects of insurance and its social and economic impact on the ASEAN region.Brunei considers the financial industry an important sector in its economic diversification strategy.
