Phnom penh: Cambodia's three-day traditional Pchum Ben festival concluded, seeing 2.14 million people traveling to numerous tourist destinations across the kingdom, according to a Ministry of Tourism report on Thursday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, of the total number of travelers, 24,443 were foreign visitors. The most popular attractions during the holiday were Siem Reap, Battambang, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Cham, and Kampong Chhnang provinces.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized the importance of the Pchum Ben festival in preserving and promoting Cambodia's culture, tradition, and customs for younger generations. The Pchum Ben festival, also known as Ancestor's Day, is the second-largest celebration in the Southeast Asian country after the lunar New Year in April.

During the festival, Buddhists visited pagodas, offering food, drinks, incense sticks, candles, and money to monks in dedication to their deceased relatives and loved ones.
