Cenored Donates Essentials to Otjiwarongo State Hospital

Otjiwarongo: The Central North Regional Electricity Distributor (Cenored) on Friday donated a range of essential items most needed by the Otjiwarongo State Hospital. The Chief Medical Officer for the Otjozondjupa Region, Dr. Felix Mutombo, accepted the gifts on behalf of the Health Director, Gebhardo Timotheus, in the presence of senior nurses from the hospital. He remarked that the hospital was in urgent need of the donated goods.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the donation includes 200 white bedsheets and linen, thermometers for measuring patients' body temperatures, name tags for all hospital nurses, files for recording each patient's medical condition and history, and cellular blankets, amongst other items.

Cenored Chief Executive Officer, Fessor Mbango, in a statement delivered on his behalf, said the company spent more than N.dollars 117,000 through its corporate social responsibility programme in support of the Otjiwarongo community for this delivery.

Mbango noted that the hospital had submitted a request for assistance at the beginning of the year, and he further pledged to continue collaborating with the hospital where necessary.
