Kuala lumpur: Chinese and Malaysian armed forces are set to conduct a joint military drill in Malaysia and its adjacent waters in mid-to-late October, as announced by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the exercise, code-named "Peace and Friendship 2025," will concentrate on humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and maritime security. The live joint exercise will include multi-service forces from both the Chinese and Malaysian militaries, with other ASEAN member states invited to send observers.

This marks the sixth joint exercise under the "Peace and Friendship" series, which aims to deepen practical cooperation between China and Southeast Asian countries. The program seeks to enhance their capability to address non-traditional security threats and safeguard regional peace and stability.
