Beijing: China hopes the United States will stop unwarranted harassment, interrogation, and deportation of Chinese students, and effectively safeguard their legitimate and lawful rights and interests, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday. Guo made these remarks in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement about allowing 600,000 Chinese students into American universities.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Guo expressed China’s desire for the U.S. to implement President Trump’s statement in a meaningful way, highlighting that educational exchanges and cooperation are beneficial for enhancing interactions and understanding among people from different countries.
