Beijing: The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) announced its commitment to increasing support for foreign businesses operating within China, utilizing various strategies to improve services in key sectors.

According to Namibia Press Agency, since the start of 2025, the CCPIT has engaged with nearly 100 multinational company executives and organized 274 international delegations to foster collaboration in industrial and supply chains. The council’s spokesperson, Wang Guannan, revealed these efforts during a recent press conference.

The CCPIT has also strengthened its cooperation initiatives through significant events, such as the third China International Supply Chain Expo, which occurred last month. Notably, 35 percent of the participants in this event were from overseas, underscoring the international dimension of the council’s outreach.

To further enhance cooperation, the CCPIT has organized local visits uniting foreign commercial associations and enterprises. It has also held symposiums concentrating on optimizing the business environment, advancing the pharmaceutical industry, and promoting localized production. These activities have led to several cooperation agreements and have addressed the specific needs of foreign companies, as highlighted by Wang.

Despite external uncertainties, foreign businesses maintain a strong commitment to expanding their presence in China and express confidence in the Chinese market. Looking ahead, the CCPIT is poised to continue its role as a bridge, facilitating higher-level economic and trade exchanges between China and international partners. The council aims to assist foreign enterprises in investing, developing, and achieving success within China, Wang concluded.
