Chinese Stock Market: Shanghai Composite Rises While Shenzhen Component Falls

Myanmar: Chinese stocks closed mixed on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rising by 0.32 percent, closing at 3,472.32 points. In contrast, the Shenzhen Component Index experienced a decline, closing 0.25 percent lower at 10,508.76 points.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the combined turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen indices reached 1.43 trillion yuan, equivalent to approximately 199.9 billion U.S. dollars. This marked an increase from the previous trading day's turnover of 1.31 trillion yuan.

Sector-wise, shares in the gaming, banking, and power industries led the gains, showcasing positive performance. Conversely, sectors related to solid-state battery, beauty care, and non-ferrous metals faced notable declines. Meanwhile, the ChiNext Index, which monitors China's Nasdaq-style board for growth enterprises, decreased by 0.36 percent, ending at 2,156.23 points.
