Chinese Stock Markets See Slight Decline on Wednesday

Hong Kong: Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.02 percent to 3,339.93 points. The Shenzhen Component Index also saw a decline, closing 0.26 percent lower at 10,003.27 points.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the combined turnover of these two indices stood at about 1.01 trillion yuan, equivalent to approximately 140 billion U.S. dollars. This marked an increase from the 998.9 billion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.

Shares related to unmanned logistics vehicles and new consumption experienced gains, whereas sectors such as e-commerce and chemical materials were among the biggest losers. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.31 percent to close at 1,985.38 points on Wednesday.
