FirstRand Namibia Announces New Chief People Officer

Windhoek:FirstRand Namibia FirstRand Namibia has announced the appointment of Moses Shitaleni Iinane as its new Chief People Officer, with his tenure set to begin on 05 May 2026.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Iinane will take over from Isdor Angula, who is retiring after more than three decades in the human capital field. The bank highlighted Iinane's extensive experience of over 18 years in executive leadership within both the public and private sectors in Namibia, specializing in human capital strategy, organizational transformation, culture development, and employee engagement.

FirstRand Namibia's CEO, Conrad Dempsey, emphasized the strategic importance of the appointment, noting the group's focus on investing in its workforce. Dempsey praised Iinane's blend of human capital expertise and strategic leadership, which aligns with the bank's values and goals. He also expressed gratitude to Angula for his significant contributions to the organization, acknowledging the enduring impact of his leadership.

Iinane previously held the position of Head of Human Resources at Namdeb Diamond Corporation. He is academically equipped with a B Juris and LLB (Hons) from the University of Namibia, an LLM from the University of South Africa, and an MBA from Steinbeis Hochschule, Berlin.

In his own remarks, Iinane expressed his honor at joining the bank and his eagerness to foster employee development. He reiterated his career-long commitment to building workplaces that encourage personal and professional growth.

Angula reflected on his career with gratitude, advising others to work diligently, remain authentic, and not be swayed by negativity.
